PRS Logix Privacy Policy

Last Updated - January 15, 2017

This privacy policy covers our websites on the prslogix.westernag.ca and prslogix.western.ag domains, our PRS Logix Mobile App, and our other applications, websites, and services on which a link to this privacy policy is posted.

Collected Information

We use IP address and similar non-personal information such as browser type and date/time for determining how users interact with our website and services, and generally for the internal operation of our website. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. These technologies do not store personal information. For account security purposes, we may store a cookie that contains an encrypted user password. Users who disable cookies in their browsers may not be able to logon to the PRS Logix website. We may use third parties to provide these cookies and other tools. For instance, we may use Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. Google provides some additional privacy options described at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ regarding Google Analytics cookies. PRS Logix does not process or respond to web browsers' “do not track” signals or other similar transmissions that indicate a request to disable online tracking of users who visit our websites or use our services or apps.

We also collect performance data from within PRS Logix Mobile App. We use these usage statistics retrospectively to improve our user experience. This information may include networking activity, CPU load, and resource usage, among other relevant data.

We use mobile analytics tools to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile software on your device and to derive insights about how our mobile software is used. These tools may record information such as how often a user uses the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and from where the application was downloaded. We do not link this analytics information to any personal information about you.

Log Files

Like many Web sites, we may gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information is used to provide technical and community support. This information may include a user's username, internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we request from you.

Additionally, when visitors come to our site or apps, we may automatically collect some system information, such as the type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows or Mac OS), the web browser (e.g., Chrome, Internet Explorer) being used if applicable, the device type and identifier, IP address, and information regarding the Internet service provider. Although we do not collect precise geolocation data from mobile devices, a user's IP address may be used to estimate the general region a user is visiting is from.

Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information about you to third parties.

We may disclose personal information about you as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we also may disclose personal information about you in response to law enforcement agencies or other public agencies (including schools or children services) request or if we feel that such disclosure may prevent the instigation of a crime, facilitate an investigation related to public safety or protect the safety of a child using our website, protect the security or integrity of our website, or enable us to take precautions against liability or to protect our rights.

Information about our users may be disclosed and otherwise transferred to an acquirer, successor, or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets.

Security & Data Retention

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) or similar technologies.

We use reasonable measures intended to protect the personal or other sensitive information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Privacy Policy Changes and Updates

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our information practices at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make any material changes to this privacy policy, we will attempt to notify you by email (by sending an email to the email address specified in your account, if an email account is associated with your account).
